Resilience
The resilience team for the UL&H CC area consists of Geoffrey Kolbe (Riccarton Farm, 013873 76715), Sandra Murray (Longhaugh, 07864 72893) and John Scott (Steele Road Station House, 013873 76259)

There are currently two 'resilence sheds' which contain equipment and tools that may be useful during a period of resilience stress (power cuts, storms, etc.) The sheds are locked with a combination lock for which the resilience team have the code. One resilience shed is next to Hermitage Hall, the other shed is on the B6357 opposite Larriston House, next to the post box and noticeboard. A third resilence shed will be installed in the new year (2025) at the top end of Hermitage valley, at the entrance to Twislehope Farm

  • Thermal gloves x 2 pairs
  • Waterproof glooves x 3 pairs
  • Ice crampons x 2 pairs (to fit over existing footwear)
  • Snow shovels x 2
  • Spades x 2
  • Wheel barrow
